As with its polycarbonate sheets, Lexan Thermoclear protects 99.9% of UV radiation, as the proprietary surface treatment on both sides, enables outdoor weather resistance, and greater design flexibility.
Furthermore, Lexan Thermoclear is also suitable for use in bushfire prone zones BAL's 19 or below, as the materials within the components are flame-resistant, self-extinguishing, and develops minimal smoke. Compliant with regulation as per:
- AS/NZS 1530.3: 2006 - simultaneous determination of ignability, flame propagation, heat release, and smoke release
- AS/NZS 3837: 1998 - heat and smoke release rates using oxygen consumption calorimeter
- AS 3959 - construction of buildings in bushfire-prone areas

Handling, Storage, and Cleaning

- Most silicones are incompatible with polycarbonate - will damage sheet, restrict expansion and contraction, and void warranty.
- Safety practices according to local statutory building regulations. For most application, above 3m safety mesh should be used, although some maybe used without, as per AS 1562.3: 2006.

Lexan Thermoclear sheet with H-Bar simply slide into the H-Bar fixed to the structure. The glazing bars allow for the thermal expansion and contraction of the sheets, which eliminates need of fixings through the sheet itself.
